As someone who suffered badly from staring too long at a bright computer screen this week, I can say that it's not good or productive to push the limits of the delicate muscles and nerves that make up the eye!
The 20-20-20 rule: after every 20 minutes of staring at the computer screen, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds to avoid eye strain.
As I nursed a throbbing headache I vowed to take better care of them and as right now, you've already broken this recommended rule above and its quite possibly only the start of your day perhaps you should heed the warning too and take a few seconds to rest your eyes.
Did you know that Windows 10 Operating System has a feature called Night Light, that allows you to reduce the brightness and blue light levels emitting from your screen with the click of button? I now use this during the day. Firstly, it is not only better for my eyes, but it also changes the colour of the screen to a nice warm tone. Since turning this setting on, I am horrified at just how bright my screen was before! It is worth checking out!
