About The Event

The Kiwibank Bay of Plenty Business Banking Team is excited to welcome all chamber members along to a relaxed evening at Mills Reef with their chief economist Jarrod Kerr* who will presenting an overview of national economy and how this can impact on small to medium size businesses in New Zealand.

Since they opened our doors in 2005 over 40,000 businesses have joined them and they are doing good for all Kiwis. Supporting Kiwi businesses means they are helping grow a stronger economy – which helps everybody. In fact one of the founding principles of Kiwibank was that their business decisions are guided by what's good for the country and everyone who's building their future here. That includes making sure the profit they make goes right back into New Zealand – not overseas.

At Kiwibank Business Banking there are specialists in asset finance, working capital, transactional and merchant services, foreign exchange, trade services, and more. You will have access to business banking experts who get what it takes to be in business, and who'll go above and beyond to help you succeed.

Their name says it all. They are a bank made for New Zealanders, by New Zealanders. That's why when you join them you're not just becoming a client, your joining a business banking team on your side.

* Jarrod Kerr is Kiwibank's newly appointed Chief Economist. Jarrod has a passion for the environment, financial literacy, and everything economics. Although born and schooled in New Zealand, he cut his teeth in US, Swiss, and Australian banks, and has spent his entire career overseas. Jarrod started off as an economist at JP Morgan in Sydney. He then moved into financial markets as an interest rate strategist for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, before moving to Credit Suisse in Singapore as Head of Australian and New Zealand fixed income and economic research. After 16 years abroad, Jarrod has returned home to the mighty Kiwibank.

Complimentary to Chamber members.
